RQMS calculates comprehensive quality statistics for slit rolls. Slitting patterns can be managed directly through the RQMS suite or imported from an external roll tracking system. Slit roll statistics enable the RQMS disposition engine to advise the operator on the appropriate handling of each roll. Rather than culling entire reels or jumbo rolls, the operator can recover the highest possible yield during quality excursions.

An intuitive drill-down view displays roll genealogy and provides access to all information related to roll quality, including profiles, defect maps, process tag trends, and lab test results. In addition, graphical icons immediately project the recommended and actual disposition associated with each roll. A user-friendly query tool enables selection of desired rolls according to criteria such as date, grade/product, machine, roll number, disposition and customer order.

Two areas of opportunity often exist related to disposition management: companies either reject too many rolls due to disposition practices that are based on random samples or insufficient data, or marginal quality material is inadvertently shipped due to lack of visibility on a roll-by-roll basis. RQMS addresses both of these conditions by providing operators and lab personnel with scientific, unbiased disposition methods based upon all available process and test data.
