The RQMS Downgrade Control provides an intuitive interface for downgrading or reassigning rolls. The downgrade control enables an operator to interactively evaluate roll quality against alternate specifications. The system can even advise the operator of an appropriate downgrade path.

The industry trend is for customers to demand more detailed roll quality data. RQMS incorporates a configurable compliance reporting engine that provides perhaps more information than necessary. The reports can then be filtered through simple style sheets in order to publish an appropriate amount of detail according to specific customer requirements. The format of Certificates of Analysis/Quality (COA/COQ) as well as the underlying structure of roll quality data is also well suited to Internet-based access. In addition, reports conform to emerging standards for electronic data interchange.

Technical services personnel access all relevant quality data through the RQMS client rather than having to manually collect data. Roll data is accessed by roll number or order number. Customer issues can be addressed with full resolution scan-by-scan profile data rather than just statistical summaries.
