How to Find Relevant DeltaV™ Alarms with InfoBatch®

About this video:

Follow along as we use InfoBatch® to generate a report and perform a simple configuration change.

Video Transcript:

In this brief video we will demonstrate how to generate an InfoBatch report and perform a simple configuration change.

We will start by navigating to the InfoBatch web server. Here we will generate a simple batch report by selecting the batch ID.

This particular report is configured to render as a PDF document. This report includes a unit summary with cycle times, critical alarms, and a trend and corresponding statistics from the continuous historian.

Through the InfoBatch Configurator, we will modify the report configuration in order to be more selective about which alarms appear on the report.

We will start by creating a working version of the previously released report.

We will go down to the unit alarm query so that only alarms associated with units acquired by the batch executive are displayed on the report.

We edit the unit alarms query so that only alarm records with an alarm state of active unacknowledged will be shown on the report.

After informal testing, the new report version is then released to production.

We will go back to the InfoBatch Web Server to generate the newly release report and verify that only active unacknowledged alarms appear in the report.

Thank you for watching this video. You’ve just learned how to generate an InfoBatch report and perform a simple configuration change.
